A gente te ajuda. 🇦🇺 Many people think the PR process is just “study and wait”. In reality, four factors change everything: English level, actual demand for your occupation, the region you choose, and your Australian work experience. With incredible beaches, a climate similar to Brazil's and plenty of entertainment options such as amusement parks and bars, who wouldn't want to live on the Gold Coast? Although the city is famous for its laid-back seaside lifestyle, there are also numerous quality educational institutions and promising career opportunities.

If you're planning to study in Australia, here are five great reasons to live on the Gold Coast. Let's go?

1 - Sunny weather

Adapting to the climate won't be a problem for Brazilians on the Gold Coast. The city enjoys around 300 days of sunshine a year. Winters are milder than in cities like Sydney and Melbourne, but summer on the Gold Coast can be quite hot and humid, but nothing a good dip in the beach can't solve!

2 - Job opportunities

Although the Gold Coast is smaller than major capital cities like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, there are plenty of opportunities to secure work and build a career. In addition, the Gold Coast is considered a "regional area", and as such, there are possible paths to residency for those who meet the requirements of immigration programs. For more information, visit official website of the Government of Australia

Some areas with high employment opportunities include hospitality, tourism, education and health. So if you're thinking of starting your career in any of these areas, the Gold Coast is the place for you!

3 - Education is a strong suit on the Gold Coast

Few people know it, but the Gold Coast is home to several fantastic educational institutions. Griffith University ranks 30th in the 2020 Times Higher Education Young University Rankings and 33rd in the QS World University Rankings 2021 Top 50 Under 50. In addition, Bond University has been consistently ranked as one of Australia's top universities for student experience, as well as Australia's leading university for employer satisfaction with graduates.

As well as universities, you'll find a number of colleges, English courses and the famous Vocational courses (VET). We at Good Day Education have partnerships with the best educational institutions in Australia, so we're here to help you!

4 - Gold Coast has a more affordable cost of living

Compared to living in a capital city like Sydney, the Gold Coast can be an extremely affordable city to live in. Southport and Surfers Paradise are some of the most affordable places to live. In addition, the city has extremely efficient public transport and free weekend activities, making it an excellent choice for international students. The Gold Coast is a very economical choice.

5 - The Gold Coast is full of fun

The city offers the largest collection of theme parks in the Southern Hemisphere, including Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Dreamworld, Wet'n'Wild and many more. In addition, you'll find countless festivals celebrating food, film, music, culture, art and everything in between. Some of the best events include the Gold Coast Film Festival, the Sand Safari Arts Festival and Surfers Paradise!

The Home of the Arts (HOTA) is a cultural center that presents the latest films, live shows and different types of cultural exhibitions. In addition, there are always events and activities in parks, entertainment venues, beaches and libraries throughout the city.Whatever your interest, you'll never be short of options on the Gold Coast.

And don't forget to do plenty of research before making your decision. But if you are considering living on the Gold Coast, we at Good Day Education can guide you and help you every step of the way.
