For those who dream of gaining professional experience and living abroad for a considerable period of time, taking a university in Australia is a real and accessible path.

With scholarships ranging from 20% to 30%, institutions Down Under have special programs that help international students get a foothold in the job market.

Throughout the course, students can take part in consultancies to improve their CVs, learn how to write a cover letter, set up a profile on professional social networks, apply for vacancies, networking techniques, etc.

In addition, because they are renowned and respected institutions in the market, universities have strong networks with industry, which makes it easier for students to connect with employers across Australia.

The first step

When applying for a job, students are faced with the following requirement: experience. But how can you get it if you're still learning?

An internship could be the solution. Popular in Australia, internships allow students to develop real work skills by applying all the theory learned in the classroom in practice. Exposure to a professional environment and creating your own network of contacts are also key points in developing a career abroad.

And how do you get an internship? Universities offer opportunities both on internal platforms and through elective courses, depending on the program of study chosen.

I've graduated. Now what?

Students don't have to return home as soon as they finish their university course. In order for them to be able to put what they have learned into practice and gain the much sought-after professional experience abroad, Australia offers a specific visa for recent graduates from an educational institution in the country.

O Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) allows the exchange student to extend their stay from 18 months to 4 years, depending on the qualification acquired.
