Muita gente pensa que o processo de residência é só “fazer um curso e esperar”. If you still haven't convinced yourself that studying abroad can transform your career and your life, no problem! We've listed five reasons that will show you why studying in Australia is ideal for your growth.

1- Study at a university with an international reputation.

Australian universities are among the best in the world, and having one of them on your CV will make all the difference to your academic and professional career. Universities such as Kaplan, Torrens University, TAFE, Western Australia, University of Sydney, CQU, Macquire University and ICMS have highly qualified teachers, state-of-the-art technological resources and a large physical structure..

2- Get to know different cultures and improve your language skills.

Attending university outside your home country brings you into contact with cultures you never imagined existed. And Australia is the perfect place to experience this. The country has the third highest number of international students in the world, behind only the UK and the US - a pretty impressive figure for a nation of just 23 million people. The English of your favorite TV show doesn't represent the full capacity of this language. Studying abroad, even more so in a higher education course, will absurdly expand your vocabulary and your way of expressing yourself, whether in everyday life or in a presentation at work. This kind of knowledge can also make all the difference when applying for a postgraduate course.

3- Work and benefit from scholarships!

The exchange rate still makes many people think that studying abroad is a financially impossible dream. But that's not true. In Australia, students can legally work 40 hours every two weeks, which helps them to support themselves and gives them unparalleled professional experience. What's more, you can also benefit from partial scholarships, a very common practice at most universities!

4- "Earn" two more years of visa after finishing the course.

On completion of a Bachelor's (2 or 3 years) or Master's (2 years) course, the student can apply for a work visa for a further two years in Australia. All students who had their first Australian visa issued after November 5, 2011 can apply for the 485 visa, which provides this benefit. Applicants need to complete at least one degree course. "Investing in a degree (about 3 years) is a good option for recent high school graduates who want to come to Australia, as you can study something you like and still have access to the extra 2 years," comments Adam Khaze, director of Home Migration Services.

5- Establish an international professional network.

Studying in another country is the perfect opportunity to meet people from all over the world and consequently build a strong professional network, lasting longer than your study program, which will benefit you throughout your career.
