A gente te ajuda. 🇦🇺 Many people think the PR process is just “study and wait”. In reality, four factors change everything: English level, actual demand for your occupation, the region you choose, and your Australian work experience. When you combine these with the right strategy, your pathway to PR becomes clearer (and faster). Want to understand the best route for your case? We’re here to help.

Age: 39 years old

What city do you live in?

Adelaide

How long have you been in Australia?

Two months.

Are you studying or working in the country?

I moved to Australia to do an exchange program. I'm studying General English. I've always dreamed of living abroad and Australia was my choice.

What are the main advantages of living in Adelaide?

It's a more accessible city in terms of cost of livingand has a variety of cultural activities. It's also a quieter place compared to the hustle and bustle of Sydney and Melbourne.

What do you like most about the city?

I love going to the beaches and taking part in the cultural activities here, such as visiting the Gorge Wildlife Park, going to the Fringe Festival and visiting wineries.

Gabriela Cusma

Age: 30 years

What city do you live in?

Brisbane

How long have you been in Australia?

Four months.

Are you studying or working in the country?

I came to Australia to study and improve my English, because English is very important in my professional field. But I also came here to give myself the opportunity to experience and get to know new things, people and cultures, to get to know myself better and to challenge myself.

What are the main advantages of living in Brisbane?

I believe that Brisbane is a more accessible city than some others in Australia. Because it's a slightly smaller city that's growing a lot, Brisbane has a lot of opportunities. The people are friendly, and it's a city that offers everything, as well as being very close to the beach. Here, you'll find a mix of cultures in terms of food, people and nightlife.

What do you like most about the city?

I really enjoy going out with my friends, going to parks, beaches and restaurants serving cuisine from other countries. I also like to go to some of the nightclubs here and to Brazilian parties.

Pamela da Silva and Diego Lima Verde

Ages: 25 years and 27 years respectively

What city do you live in?

Perth.

How long have you been in Australia?

Three months.

Are they studying or working in the country?

Pamela: A priori, we came to study English in preparation for the IELTS. Diego is the main applicant, and I'm his partner. I work as a Back/Front House Team Member in a burger restaurant.

Diego: I currently work as a Junior Engineer in an engineering company. Our intention is to stay permanently here in Australia.

What are the main advantages of living in Perth?

Pamela: Even with a recent increase in the cost of living in general here in Australia, Perth is still cheaper than big cities like Sydney and Melbourne.

Diego: It's also a city with a strong influence from mining, which made it much easier for me to get involved. find a job in engineering, which is my field of work.

What do you most like to do in the city?

Pamela: We like to explore new places, as everything is very new to us! Since we arrived, we've visited a few tourist and entertainment spots, such as parks, beaches and arcades.
