Do you want to find a good job in Australia? To do so, it is important to have an Australian resume, with the information that is most valued by recruiters in the country

Having a good CV is an essential step towards getting a job. But curriculum vitae (CV) templates vary from country to country - in each region, recruiters value certain information more than others. Therefore, to be hired on a good working in AustraliaYou need to prepare an Australian CV.

Although it has the same premises as the CVs popular in Brazil, the Australian CV does away with some information (including a photo of the candidate), gives more value to skills and experience and has an "extra section", which is very important: the cover letter.

Here are some tips for putting together a good Australian CV.

1. more succinct personal information

Unlike Brazilian recruiters, Australian professionals prefer their personal information - the information at the beginning of the CV - to be simplified.

You don't need to include a photo of yourself or your date of birth. Just give your name, contact details (phone and email), nationality, type of visa and availability to work (e.g. 30 hours a week).

In addition, it is advisable to include a brief introduction paragraph: in it, you can talk about your profile, your objectives and the type of work you are looking for in Australia.

2. Value your skills in the Australian curriculum

Recruiters in Australia are always very interested in your skills - so this should come before training.

Here, you can add items with your main skills. Remember to highlight the skills that are important for the job. If the job is in hospitality, for example, highlight good interpersonal relationships, teamwork and proactivity, among others.

If you're looking for your first job in Australia, it's worth taking care of this section!

3. Describe your professional experience

It's time to fill in your CV with jobs you've done before. Remember to enter the name of the company where you worked, the position and the length of time you were there. Then add a short paragraph describing the tasks you performed.

4. Provide your education and references

It is important to tell recruiters where you have studied or are studying. This part is very similar to the Brazilian curriculum: just inform the course, the educational institution (with city and country where it is located) and the period of completion.

Now comes an important detail in the Australian CV: give the name, position and contact details of people who have worked with you and who can be your references.

5. Prepare a good cover letter

The cover letter is not very common in Brazil, but it is highly valued by Australian recruiters.

This letter should be written especially for the position of interest, because it is the candidate's opportunity to highlight the reasons why they should be interviewed and subsequently hired.

Write in polite language and explain why your profile is ideal for the job. In addition, highlight important points on your CV, such as skills that can be put to good use in this job, experience in previous jobs (that add to the vacancy) and good contacts for reference.
