For those who dream of having a professional experience and living a considerable time abroad, studying at a university in Australia is a real and accessible path.

With scholarships between 20% and 30%, institutions in Down Under have special programs that help international students to achieve a position in the job market.

Throughout the course the student can carry out consultancies to perfect the resumé, learn to write a cover letter, set up a profile on professional social networks, apply for positions, networking techniques, among others.

In addition, because they are renowned and respected institutions in the market, universities have strong networks with industry, which makes the connection of students with employers across the country easy.

First step

When applying for a job position, the student will face the following requirement: experience. But how to achieve it if you are still learning?

Doing an internship may be the solution. Popular in Australia, it allows the student to develop real work skills by applying in practice all the theory seen in the classroom. Being in a professional environment and the creation of your own network of contacts are also key points in developing your career abroad.

And how to get an internship? Universities offer opportunities both on internal platforms and through elective courses depending on the study program chosen.

I graduated. And now?

The student does not need to return home after completing the course at the university. In order to really be able to do what he or she has learned and gained the longed-for professional experience abroad, Australia offers a specific visa for recent graduates at an educational institution in the country.

The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) allows the student to extend the stay from 18 months to 4 years, depending on the qualification acquired.
