A good option for those in their first year in Australia is to go and see the fireworks at the Opera House. Will there be lots of people? Absolutely! But the experience (and the Instagram photo) will be worth it. Just make sure you get there early and get a good seat!<\/p>\n

Darling Harbour<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

For those looking for a more family-oriented atmosphere on New Year's Eve, Darling Harbour is a great place as alcohol consumption is prohibited. Access is easy for those using public transportation, but some routes may be modified due to the event.<\/p>\n

Federation Square<\/strong><\/a>
\nDo you want to enjoy live music and watch the fireworks? Then consider going to Federation Square. New Year's Eve is a good opportunity to get to know the city's music scene, as there will be everything from hip hop to Latin music!<\/p>\n

Brisbane<\/strong><\/h3>\n

South Bank<\/strong><\/a>
\nFor lack of one, at SouthBank you'll see two fireworks displays. In addition to the traditional one, which takes place at midnight, the venue offers an option for children at 8:30pm. There will also be movie screenings and food trucks for those who don't want to bring their own food.<\/p>\n

Yagan Square<\/a><\/p>\n

It's with FREE live music, children's entertainment, street performers and fireworks that the city of Perth will welcome the new year. Yagan Square and Perth Cultural Centre will come alive with this event that offers attractions for all ages.<\/p>\n

Elder Park<\/a><\/p>\n

Adelaide's New Year's Eve party in Elder Park and on the riverbank is the ideal place to celebrate with friends! The program includes live music, family entertainment and two spectacular fireworks displays.<\/p>\n
